Job description
Have you recently graduated with a degree in Psychology or Sociology at university?

Do you have paid or voluntary experience working with special needs or mental health?

If you answered YES and are also interested in a career working with children with autism, speech and language or complex needs we want to hear from you!

A special educational needs (SEN) primary school based in Hayes are looking to appoint psychology and sociology graduates with both confidence and interest in working with children with special needs. Due to most pupils having a diagnosis of autism and communication needs they look for graduates who are available on a 5 day basis Monday to Friday and can commit to being consistently punctual.

Successful SEN TAs will gain invaluable experience through on-going specialist training and working closely with therapists, social workers and behaviour analysts. Additional to this, you will gain a first hand understanding of how to effectively support those with autism and complex needs.

A special needs TA (teaching assistant) supports pupils with their individual development and learning plans which focus on the child's needs both academically and socially. During the day you will also work with pupils on communication, play and motor skills through activities which will be developed by in-house school therapists.
