Job description
LSA - ASD Experience Required - Redbridge

Protocol Education are currently working with a large SEN school in Redbridge who are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their school this October. The position will be based within the Key Stage 3 & 4 sections of the school in a small class supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

You will be working with children aged between 11 - 18 with statements of Special Education Needs. Most of the children you will be working with have very limited communication skills and some are non-verbal. You will be assisting more than one class so supporting several children rather than 1:1 with any particular child.

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must have experience working with children with autism and challenging behaviour. You will be available to start late October and be able to work full school hours 5 days per week. You must have a good command of numeracy and literacy. Those with experience using PECS are urged to apply.


• Autism: 1 year
• Teaching Assistant: 1 year
• SEN: 1 year
• PECS (any experience desirable)
• Makaton (any experience desirable)
