Job description
A Primary school based in the borough of Wandsworth are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support with their numeracy and literacy programmes.

The role will be Monday-Friday 8.30-3.30 and entail working on a one to basis and supporting small groups with the above initiatives. The candidate will need to demonstrate experience of working one to one and in groups supporting with Maths/English and show how they have previously helped schools to raise attainment. The aim being to develop the level of understanding in both subjects across the school. It would be ideal if the candidate were to have a Degree in English or Maths and if they were a qualified teaching assistant to a minimum of Level 2.

Teaching Assistant Qualifications:

Protocol Education are specialists in recruiting Teaching Assistant jobs who are qualified to the below:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing)

We will also consider experienced learning support assistants who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted pupil in the role in a school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.
