Job Description: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Biggin Hill, Greater London, England

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Salary: £95 - £105 Per day, Benefits: PAYE

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of teaching materials
  • Working with individual students or small groups to provide additional support
  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • First Aid certification

Education:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

  • Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning processes
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN training
  • Experience with supporting students with autism or other special needs

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours are generally during school hours
  • May involve some additional hours for planning and meetings
  • Work primarily takes place in classrooms and school premises

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
