Protocol Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Gateshead that is looking for a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or a recently qualified Level 3 candidate looking to develop their career within primary education.

About the Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day teaching and learning.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Deliver planned interventions and activities.
• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and resilience.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and good classroom routines.
• Monitor pupil engagement and progress.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Education or a relevant equivalent.
• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's education.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
