Protocol Education is working with welcoming schools across Sunderland to recruit experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional academic, social and emotional needs.

Role Details

• Full-time
• September start
• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am-3:30pm to 4:30pm
• Term-time only
• Long-term placement

What You'll Be Doing

• Delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
• Supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism and ADHD
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
• Tracking and encouraging pupil progress
• Developing pupils' confidence, independence and engagement

We're Looking For

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous experience working in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A patient, nurturing and inclusive approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
