We’re working with a well-regarded primary school in the heart of Fenham, who are looking for an experienced Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their close-knit EYFS team.

About the Role

You’ll be part of a supportive EYFS team, working across Nursery and Reception. Your days will be a mix of structured play, guided activities, and those magic in-the-moment learning opportunities that Early Years does best.

You’ll:

• Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum through purposeful play and exploration

• Help plan and set up activities that promote communication, language, physical development, and early literacy and numeracy

• Create calm, engaging spaces where children feel safe to take risks and try new things

• Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families

• Use observations to track progress against EYFS learning goals

• Follow safeguarding, hygiene, and health and safety procedures with confidence and care

About You

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years Educator qualification

• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development milestones

• Experience supporting children aged 3–5 in a school or nursery setting

• Calm, patient, and organised, even when it’s a little bit loud

• Confident supporting toileting, transitions, and day-to-day classroom routines

• A team player who communicates clearly and warmly
