Job description
Level 3 Baby Room Leader needed in a fantastic nursery with lots of career prospects.

Your new role:

As the Baby Room Leader, you will be running the room and caring for the babies. You will need to be creative and plan fun and stimulating activities. You will need to ensure that your practice is in line with the EYFS curriculum and that you are following all procedures correctly.

• As part of your job you will be liaising with parents, providing feedback. You will also be required to change nappies, feed and ensure the children get enough sleep. You will be working within a team and therefore it is vital that you have good communicative skills.

• As a room leader you will ensure all practitioners in the room are following the nursery's policies and procedures, as well as ensuring their activities are in line with the EYFS curriculum. As the leader you will be responsible for dealing with any queries that parents and management may have. You will be required to work 40 hours a week, in line with the nursery rota.

You should have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

• Have a full and relevant level 2/ 3 qualification in Childcare

• Have strong written and verbal communication skills

• A good working knowledge of the EYFS framework and the ability to support staff in using the framework

• Experience and knowledge of safeguarding practice

• Ideally previous supervisory experience in a similar role

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
