Level 2 BSL Teaching Assistant – September Start – Gateshead

An excellent school in Gateshead is looking to recruit a Level 2 BSL Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.

This full-time role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with hearing impairments and helping them achieve their full potential.

The Role:

• Providing BSL communication support
• Supporting learning across the curriculum
• Working with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in groups
• Promoting engagement and participation
• Supporting social, emotional and personal development
• Collaborating with teaching staff and parents

Requirements:

• BSL Level 2 qualification
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience supporting children or young people preferred
• Positive and flexible attitude
• Ability to drive is essential
