Level 2 BSL Learning Support Assistant – Gateshead | Full-Time

Protocol Education is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 2 BSL Learning Support Assistant to join educational settings across Gateshead from September.

This rewarding role involves supporting students with hearing impairments and additional communication needs, helping them engage fully in school life and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide BSL support throughout the school day
• Adapt communication to meet individual learner needs
• Encourage independence and confidence
• Work alongside teachers and SEND professionals
• Travel between schools and educational provisions within Gateshead

Requirements

• Level 2 BSL qualification
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Experience supporting children or young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
