I have had an exciting opportunity come up working with a huge college group as a Learning Support Worker, supporting young adults post 16 who have varying levels of Autism, PMLD and other behavioural needs that require extra support.
The role will involve many ways of supporting these young adults including sensory based learning, artistic and creative support, personal care and a strong ethos on working within a team.
My college group also offer on the job training at no cost. Team Teach, Manual Lifting and Handling training and basic Makaton among other things that are also brilliant for your development within the education sector.
We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant who can join the fantastic team based in Camden Ideally, you’ll have experience supporting students with autism across the spectrum.
You will be able to possess the following skills and support the following:
- Establish a routing with students
- Consider their learning environment
- Manage changes and transitions
- Communicate clearly
- Integrate their interests
- Work with their parents/carers
- Build your resilience
Candidates with minimal experience are also okay, but you must be willing to be flexible and be able to learn on the job.
Another great thing we also have with the varying site’s is lots of our staff after 3 terms tend to be made permanent at the site, so this shows there is a clear path into a permanent job within education in a well-supported and exciting group to work with.
The main site is based in Camden, but they have sites in Kings Cross, Soho, Victoria, and Kennet West.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
