We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Mentor to work in a special school committed to supporting children with a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorders and social communication difficulties alongside additional needs - including significant speech and language difficulties, developmental delay and complex learning needs.

The school believes each child has a voice to be heard and aims to ensure that every pupil is listened to. Support staff are supported alongside a strong team of, therapists, health professionals, specialists and family support.


• Managing pupil's behaviour.
• Ensuring students engage with lessons, providing academic support.
• Helping the students with their life skills.

For this role, you will have:

• Experience working in specialist schools such as SEN schools, Pupil Referral
Units or in Youth Work.
• Previous support work within a school or other child related experience.
• Strong behaviour management and confident with challenging behaviour.
• Happy to work one to one and small group work.
• An enthusiastic and friendly, yet firm approach.
