About the Role:

Working as a behavioural support assistant you will provide support for students with SEMH needs who may find it difficult or be reluctant to engage in education. This will include building rapport with students and creating positive relationships which influence them to regulate their behaviour. Initially you will work on a temporary basis however there could be the opportunity for a school to offer you a permanent position should they require.

Additional skills in working with ASC/Behavioural needs is not essential. However, if you have experience with ASC and PMLD students or have training in PEC’s, Team Teach, Makaton, ABA, Hoist, Manuel handling, Personal Care, this will aid you in your placement at the school.

If you are looking to make the transition into a SEND environment, the school also offer great training and support if you have the drive and passion that is essential in working with their young people.
