Job description
Experienced Learning Support Assistants required to work with children with statements at our client schools in the London Borough of Brent and Harrow.

We are currently recruiting talented and hard-working LSAs to work at a number of our primary schools across the Brent and Harrow area on a long term basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing at least until July 2018.

The roles that we offer involve working in small groups and on a 1-2-1 basis with children with special educational needs (such as ASD, ADHD, Global Delay), assisting them with daily activities, and making sure of their safety and general well-being. You will be asked to run daily journals, write regular reports and liaise with the class teacher, SENCO and parents to update them on the progress of the children.

We are looking for individuals who have wide experience supporting children with range of different cognitive and physical needs. Although previous experience working in a primary sector is not essential, you will need to have a good knowledge of current British Primary National Curriculum. On top of this we are seeking people who can easily build strong relationships with the students and fellow members of staff, look outside the box and take own initiative when needed, track the progress of the children within the class and bring warm and inspiring atmosphere to the classroom. You should also be highly professional in every aspect, be self-motivated and able to work with the minimum of supervision.

Essential requirements:
- An undergraduate degree (at least 2:2)
- A minimum of 6 months in a classroom environment in the UK
- Good knowledge of EYFS/KS1/KS2 British National Curriculum
- Experience working with children with SEN and/or EAL
- The ability to adapt and prepare resources to suit the needs of the child
- Strong behaviour management
- A UK DBS or willing to undertake one
- 2 excellent references

Though not compulsory, training in Team Teach would be a massive bonus!
