This role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with students who struggle with social, emotional and mental health difficulties alongside another support staff member and the Teacher. You will be helping with their class work, carrying out pastoral duties and ensuring their mental health is protected. This role would be ideally suited to individuals who have previously worked in Pupil Referral Units (PRU), Outreach programmes, Youth work or worked with young offenders/ students with SEMH due to the nature of the students. Experience with managing challenging behaviours is a must.
·Support pupils out of the classroom, with pastoral and personal development
·Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class, freeing up other TA's
·Patrol school and working with pupils not in class and getting them to re-engage in learning.
