Protocol Education are currently seeking to recruit Learning Support Assistants to work with children with Special Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a Secondary School in the NE6 area (Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom).

Your role will consist of supporting children with Autism, ADHD and behavioural issues for example, providing 1:1 and group in-class support to increase confidence and enhance performance. You do not need any experience working with children, just a genuine passion for supporting children.

This is a great opportunity for anyone considering a career in Teaching or Educational Psychology, for example, to gain experience whilst being paid in a rewarding setting.

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a university degree 
  • Have an Enhanced DBS/ be willing to obtain one
  • Be able to work Monday-Friday (term time)
  • Have a supporting and encouraging manner with young children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
