Protocol Education are currently working with a college based in Kings Cross. They are looking for candidates with experience supporting students with Social Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH)and/or Emotional Behavioural Difficulties/Challenging Behaviours (EBD) to fill 4 positions.

They are support roles for 14-16 year-olds, who are on Alternative Education Programmes at our College in Kings Cross.

The learners have Educational Health Care Plans and are allocated a certain number of hours support each week which is funded by the local authority.

-26 hours per week Monday to Friday supporting a young person who is studying Sport, English, Math and other subjects.

-25 hours per week Monday to Friday supporting a young person who is studying Sport, English, Math and other subjects

-18 hours per week Monday to Friday supporting a young person studying Business, English, Math and other lessons

-10 hours per week supporting 2 learners studying construction, English, maths a few other subjects.

The type of candidates the college are looking for should have experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour. You will need to have clear communication skills and be up for a challenge, be highly motivated, enthusiastic and have an understanding of EHCP/SEN needs. The ideal candidate would have supported young people before in either Alternative Provision, PRUs or schools.
