Learning Support Assistant – SEN Provision

Location: Gateshead
Start Date: Immediate or September
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

We’re working with a specialist SEN provision in Gateshead supporting pupils with additional needs including Autism, SEMH and communication difficulties.

You don’t need school experience. You just need patience, empathy and the confidence to build positive relationships.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

  • Helping students regulate emotions and stay engaged in lessons

  • Assisting teachers with adapted learning activities

  • Encouraging independence and confidence

  • Being a calm, consistent presence in the classroom

No two days are the same. Some days are challenging. All days are rewarding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
