You’ve studied behaviour. Now you get to shape it.

If you’ve ever sat in a lecture thinking, “But what does this actually look like in real life?"... this is it.

We’re looking for Behaviour Support Assistants to work in a primary school in BS16, supporting pupils who need a different approach to thrive.

Your day might include:

  • De-escalating challenging situations calmly and confidently
  • Building trust with pupils who’ve had a tough time in education
  • Supporting emotional regulation and routine
  • Turning small wins into big breakthroughs

Why this role works for psychology grads:

  • Hands-on experience with behaviour and emotional needs
  • Exposure to EHCPs, interventions, and support strategies
  • A clear pathway into Ed Psych, Clinical Psych, or Teaching

You’ll fit right in if you:

  • Understand that behaviour is communication
  • Stay calm when things feel anything but calm
  • Want to make a genuine difference, not just tick a box

What’s in it for you:

  • Ongoing training (including de-escalation and SEND support)
  • Flexible work options to suit your schedule
  • Long-term placements where you can build relationships
  • A foot in the door for long-term careers in education or psychology

Some roles look good on paper. This one feels good at the end of the day. Apply for more details.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
