Start Date: September 2026

Every child deserves someone who believes in them. Could that be you?

Some of the biggest moments in a child's day happen because of the support they receive from someone who truly understands them.

We're looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work full-time with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). If you've got at least 2 years' experience supporting children or young people with SEND, we'd love to hear from you.

This is more than a classroom role. It's about building confidence, celebrating progress, and helping every child feel safe, included, and ready to learn.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting children with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and complex learning needs
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support throughout the school day
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to deliver tailored support
  • Creating a calm, nurturing environment where every child can thrive

We're looking for someone who has

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience supporting children with SEND
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
  • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential

Why join Protocol Education?

We know great support staff make a huge difference, so we'll make sure you're supported too.

When you join us, you'll receive:

  • Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies
  • FREE access to our online CPD Academy
  • A dedicated consultant who'll support you throughout your placement
  • Opportunities across mainstream, specialist SEND, and alternative provision schools
  • A quick and straightforward registration process
  • A referral scheme where you can earn rewards for recommending friends

Not Thrive trained yet? We've got you covered. We offer FREE Thrive training, giving you valuable strategies to support children's emotional wellbeing and making your profile even more attractive to schools.

If you're ready to be the reassuring face, encouraging voice, and steady support that helps children flourish, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and start making a difference this September.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
