This Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role is ideal for individuals looking to build experience in a secondary school environment while making a meaningful contribution to student progress.

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with class teachers to support learning within lessons, deliver targeted interventions, and assist pupils who require additional academic or emotional support. Support may be provided on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, depending on pupil needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting students to access the curriculum within mainstream lessons
  • Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific interventions
  • Encouraging engagement and participation in learning
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people is preferred but not essential
  • A positive and professional approach to working with secondary-aged pupils
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a school-based team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
