Job description
Learning Support Assistant
Protocol Education are currently recruiting for an outstanding primary school in Chelmsford. This school are looking for an energetic Learning Support Assistant to support a group children that are of a lower ability in the classroom. In addition to this, you will be conducting some group intervention work with pupils with SEN or behavioural difficulties. The successful candidate will be ambitious, be able to build good relationships with both staff and children, and embrace the culture and inclusiveness of the school.

Key Skills Required:
• Have relevant experience/interest in working with children within a SEND setting or with Autism
• Have an understanding of the National Curriculum
• Have the confidence to address conflict and challenging behaviour, once trained
• Be willing to work flexibly and constructively as part of a team
• Is passionate about pushing every student to fulfil his/ her potential
• Is able to use their initiative


This is a permanent role, term time only contract working 39 weeks per year, 25 hours per week.
