Job description
Learning Support Assistant in Kingston Upon-Thames

A well established school based in Kingston Upon-Thames is looking to recruit new SEND Teaching Assistants for immediate start.

The school is looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference to young people's lives and has experience of working in a 1:1 setting as well as assisting in the classroom. The school has recently increased its student population and has plans to increase further. To cope with the increasing numbers and high demand of required support at the school experienced and dedicated teaching assistants are needed. The pupils in the school have a range of special needs including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- 1:1 support to children with special needs, including social and emotional difficulties.
- Assisting with learning and social skills
- Taking instruction from the class teacher

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience of working with children in a permanent or voluntary capacity.
- Capable of following instruction whilst also using initiative.
- Patience, empathy, resilience and confidence.
