Learning support assistant (autism specialist)

We’re working with  supportive schools who are looking for a Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils with autism. It’s about building trust, creating consistency, and helping each child feel safe enough to learn.

What your day might look like:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
• Helping children manage routines and transitions
• Using clear, simple communication to support understanding
• Creating a calm, structured environment where pupils can thrive
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Genuinely caring and emotionally aware
• Patient, calm, and consistent
• Understanding of autism or keen to learn more
• Confident building relationships with children who may communicate differently
• Resilient, with a positive, steady approach

Experience in SEND is great, but your attitude and empathy matter just as much.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
