Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bristol. In this role, you’ll support pupils to grow in confidence, feel capable, and approach learning with a positive mindset in the classroom or in smaller support settings.

The Role 

This is a varied SEN support role where every day brings something new. You’ll be working alongside class teachers, the SENCO, and support staff to help pupils engage with learning in a way that suits their individual needs.

You may be supporting 

  • Pupils with Autsim (ASC), including those who benefit from a structure environment and visual support
  • Children with ADHD and attention needs
  • Speech, language and communication difficulties

What your day might look like

  • Leading small group activities
  • Supporting pupils to engage and stay on track 
  • 1:1 support for pupils with EHCP's 
  • Working within resource bases or quieter provision areas where needed 

What we're looking for

  • Solid experience supporting children with SEN
  • Confident in managing behaviour calmy and proactively 
  • A genuine passion for supporting children, ensuring they feel included and valued

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
