A welcoming and inclusive primary academy is is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the team from April.

Pay: £13.75 an hour
Hours: 8.30 - 15.30
Contract: Permanent
Working weeks: Term time only, including INSET days
Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme
You will work as part of a dedicated team supporting pupils’ learning and development across the academy.
The role involves providing targeted support for individuals or small groups of pupils, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence in their learning.
A key focus of this position will be supporting phonics and early reading development, helping children build strong foundations in literacy.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils during learning activities in the classroom
Delivering targeted support for phonics and reading development
Working closely with teachers to support lesson delivery
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The school is looking for someone who is:

Knowledgeable about child development and early learning
Experience supporting phonics and early reading would be particularly valuable.
Applicants should hold NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or be working towards a relevant qualification. Experience working with children in either mainstream or specialist educational settings would be beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
