Protocol Education are providing the opportunity for a passionate and skilled learning support assistant to work in a special needs' primary schools in Croydon for children aged 2 - 11 who have Autism and/or severe learning difficulties. This school aims to help children realise their potential by embracing different teaching techniques and learning inducements differentiated to meet individual needs, engaging them in decision making. The roles of a support assistant will be to promote outstanding and inspiring education, adapted to the individual needs in a safe and secure environment. As a support assistant your responsibility will also be to create a stimulating safe, fun and healthy environment where pupils feel happy and appreciated.

The Role:
• Start Date, September 2019.
• Full time, Monday - Friday or Flexible working days.
• Salary £60 - 80 per day.
• Working on a 1:1 basis, supporting inside and outside the classroom.

• Relevant experience working in schools
• Previous experience working with SEN children, and passionate about the learning and development of SEND pupils.
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going 1:1 support
• Confident with supporting pupils with various challenging behaviours.
• Able to provide 2 relevant references.
