Learning Support & Teaching Assistants Bradford area

Protocol Education is currently recruiting for ASD / SEMH and General SEN teaching/learning support assistants, to work in a range of different SEND schools throughout Bradford. We currently have a wide range of exciting positions available on either a day-to-day or long-term supply basis, across the different key stages. Some of these positions give you the opportunity to apply for a permanent job and all the benefits this has to offer.

As these roles involve working with pupils on the spectrum, or that present with challenging behaviours and complex needs. Previous experience of working with pupils in SEND settings is ideal but not essential. However, we expect you to be resilient as some of these settings can be challenging as well as rewarding when you achieve positive outcomes.

Do you have any of the following.

•Be able to work full-time Monday to Friday core hours of 8:30 - 3:30
•Have previous experience working with children, or young adults, with ASD and complex needs
•Confidence dealing with pupils with different abilities and SEND requirements
•Some knowledge of the national curriculum or confident in supporting small groups with; Numeracy, literacy or outdoor activities
•Good at dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus with good classroom management and on-going 1:1 support
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and good at forming positive relationships.
•General knowledge / good understanding of ASD or EBD/SEMH behaviours and children that are looked after.

Other experience and qualifications which are preferable:
Confidence implementing support techniques, such as PEC's & Makaton
Team Teach qualified or an equivalent.
