October Teaching Assistant Opportunity

A school based in West Sussex are currently looking for a experienced and talented staff to join them as soon as possible. The school is a all boys primary school for students who have been dismissed from mainstream education, class sizes are small and benefit from having a lot of staff support within the classroom. As the school is situated on a large plot of land they like to implement a lot of outdoor activity into the students every day learning including outdoor sports, field and forest walks and outdoor art and music therapy.

The school are looking for people who are experienced in working with students with challenging behaviours and have a passion for making a difference. Anyone applying for this role will need to be thick skinned and resilient and would need to have proven track record of working in similar environments. The school are also keen on staff who have additional skill sets such as Sports, Art, Music, Drama etc.

Main Duties:
• Supporting students with everyday learning
• Keeping students engaged and focused on daily activities
• Working with the teacher to assess pupils' levels and ability
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
• Liaising with parents and carers
