We are seeking a dedicated Learning & Behaviour Support Assistant to join our SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) hub, supporting children with complex needs in a safe and inclusive environment. The role involves helping children access an appropriately paced and differentiated curriculum tailored to their individual needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with SEMH or special educational needs, demonstrate patience and empathy, and be able to work collaboratively within a team. You should be adaptable and committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and the holistic development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with complex learning, communication, and emotional needs.
  • Assist with implementing individualised support plans and differentiated learning activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion within the SEMH hub.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support children’s progress.

Person Specification:

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH or special educational needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and ability to implement strategies consistently.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to promoting inclusion and wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
