About the Role:

As Cluster Lead for Science, you’ll play a key role in shaping teaching and learning across the department. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll help drive high standards, support curriculum development, and ensure students receive engaging, ambitious, and inclusive Science provision.

The role includes leading and supporting colleagues, promoting evidence-informed teaching strategies, and ensuring all learners, including those with SEND, Pupil Premium, or additional barriers to learning, are fully supported to achieve their potential.

You’ll be joining a school that values innovation and encourages staff to think creatively about how they teach, lead, and inspire.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading high-quality teaching and learning across the Science department
  • Supporting curriculum development and driving improvements in student outcomes
  • Promoting inclusive and adaptive teaching practices for all learners
  • Using assessment effectively to support progress and raise achievement
  • Contributing to whole-school improvement and departmental development plans
  • Working collaboratively with senior leaders and wider staff teams
  • Supporting students’ academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development
  • Teaching across subject areas where required to support the wider curriculum

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Has strong leadership skills and a passion for Science education
  • Believes in high expectations and inclusive practice
  • Can motivate, support, and inspire both students and colleagues
  • Is reflective, proactive, and committed to continual improvement
  • Wants to be part of a school community that embraces challenge and innovation

Working with Protocol Education means you’ll also benefit from:

  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
  • Access to FREE CPD and leadership development opportunities
  • Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies
  • Opportunities with schools that genuinely value their staff
  • A smooth and supportive recruitment process from start to finish
