Looking for a teaching role where relationships matter just as much as results?

We’re working with a specialist SEND school in Shrewsbury that’s growing its team and looking for caring, adaptable educators who genuinely want to make a difference.

There are immediate start positions available now, alongside long-term opportunities starting in September, making this a brilliant option whether you’re ready for your next move straight away or planning ahead for the new academic year.

The school also has opportunities for part-time Teaching Assistants, ideal for experienced support staff looking for flexible work within a calm and supportive SEND environment.

About the School

This specialist setting supports pupils across KS3 and KS4 with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and communication differences. Many students have experienced challenges in mainstream education, so the focus here is on consistency, trust, and helping young people feel safe enough to learn again.

Small classes. Strong support. Real connections.

The school takes a relational and trauma-informed approach, creating a learning environment where pupils and staff feel valued, supported, and understood.

  • Adapting learning for a range of SEND and SEMH needs
  • Supporting pupils through accredited and personalised pathways
  • Using low-arousal and trauma-informed approaches

  • Supportive and approachable leadership
  • Opportunities for both immediate and September starts
