KS2 Teaching Assistant

We’re working with a welcoming primary school in South Bristol (BS3) looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a settled and enthusiastic Year 4 class. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a team that values collaboration, consistency, and creating a positive classroom environment.

This isn’t just about supporting learning, it’s about helping pupils believe in their ability to succeed.

What your day will involve:
You’ll be supporting the class teacher across a range of subjects, from maths and reading to topic-based learning. You’ll work with small groups, provide 1:1 support where needed, and help keep the classroom running smoothly.

You’ll also play a key role in building pupils’ confidence, encouraging participation, and helping them stay focused and engaged. Some children will need a little extra support, others just need reassurance, and you’ll be there for both.

You’ll quickly become a familiar and trusted presence in the classroom, someone pupils rely on and staff value.

The ideal candidate:
You’re organised, positive, and confident supporting learning at KS2 level. You’re comfortable working across subjects and enjoy helping pupils develop both academically and personally.

You might already have classroom experience, or you may be looking to build it. Either way, you’re proactive, reliable, and bring a calm, supportive energy into the classroom.
