Year 2 Teacher – Watford 

Protocol Education is delighted to be recruiting a KS1 Teacher/ Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Watford. This full-time Year 2 role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a nurturing Key Stage 1 environment, with the opportunity to transition from a temporary to a permanent position.


Key Responsibilities of KS1 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum

  • Assess pupil progress regularly and use data to inform planning

  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies that promote a calm and productive classroom

  • Differentiate teaching to support all learners, including those with SEND or additional needs

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community


What We’re Looking For in a KS1 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum expectations, particularly Year 2

  • Secure knowledge of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

  • Ability to plan creative, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  • A committed, enthusiastic and collaborative approach to teaching
