Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join us to work in primary schools within the Wakefield area. If you are a person who cares about the education of children and brings enthusiasm, your own initiative and is seeking to develop professionally, we would love to hear from you.

As a teaching assistant, you will be required to work under guidance from the class teacher to ensure children make excellent progress, support children with appropriate interventions, and work with learners on an individual, small group or whole class basis.

-Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
-Work with the class teacher in supporting teaching and learning.
-Inspire and engage children creatively in the learning process.
-Have a good understanding of how children learn.
-Have a passion for helping support teaching staff across all subjects.
-Have a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
-The ability to use initiative and be proactive.

You will need to have:
-Good literacy and numeracy skills.
-A passion for inspiring children's learning.
-Experience in a school setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
