My client is situated in Maidenhead in the SL6 area looking for a SEN teaching assistant serving pupils with Autism between the ages of 4-16 years old
Protocol Education is looking for a teaching assistant who has some experience helping those with Autism working on a 1:2 ratio. The client believes that the ideal candidate must work in a close partnership, delivering outstanding teaching to enable each child to achieve the best possible outcome.
You will be working with 8 pupil per class alongside supporting parents, teachers, behaviour analysts, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and tutors. This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for personal development through internal and external training.
Specific duties:
-Encouraging student confidence, self-esteem and independence.
-Supporting children in social activities in and out of school.
-Create individual plans for each child.
-Supporting SEN children on a 1:2 basis.
-Working alongside teachers, therapists and tutors daily.
-Experience with assisting those with Autism.
-Always looking to learn and constantly improve.
-Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
-Provide a positive contribution to the school.
-Be able to provide a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
