Job description

Protocol Education are seeking exceptional and effective classroom support workers to work in Primary schools in the borough of Barnet. You may not have a plethora of experience in schools, or indeed an extensive amount of experience but what you will posses is the right attitude, the commitment to education and a passion in supporting pupils.

You will be an expert communicator, confident in you ability to motivate children. Holding a degree would prove hugely beneficial but not essential. Transferable skills is what I am looking and a dynamic and vibrant personality.

Your role will include but not be limited to:

Working alongside the teacher, developing and supporting pupils

Taking small groups of children out of the class for intervention work

Creating attractive classroom displays

Working cohesively with teachers, SENCo, parents and other sources to provide a fluid and transparent education

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
