Do you have a passion for supporting students with special needs?

Special needs teaching assistants will need to support pupils with complex needs to develop skills and help face many challenges in society whether that may be academically, socially or physically. A secondary school that caters to pupils on the autistic spectrum is currently recruiting experienced support workers who are looking to transition to an educational setting. The school itself is rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted and offers temp to permanent positions to the right candidates. To be successful in this role you must be very proactive and confident working with individuals with autism.

Responsibilities:

·Managing pupil's behaviour.
·Ensuring students engage with lessons, providing academic support and working under the instruction of the class teacher.
·Helping the students with their life skills.

Experience within a challenging behaviour school or a PRU is preferred but candidates with a genuine desire to work within the special needs sector, the ability to build relationships with pupils and those who have a real passion for teaching are encouraged to apply.
