We are seeking a thoughtful and adaptable Humanities Teacher to join a highly specialist provision within a Tier 4 CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. This is a non-mainstream setting where education is fully integrated into students’ clinical care and recovery.

The Role

You will deliver engaging, personalised Humanities teaching (e.g. History, Geography, PSHE) to young people with complex mental health needs, including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and OCD. Many students have experienced disrupted education, so your focus will be on rebuilding confidence, re-engaging curiosity, and supporting meaningful academic progress in a therapeutic context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver flexible, differentiated Humanities lessons
  • Re-engage students with learning and foster curiosity about the world
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to align education with recovery
  • Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of abilities and emotional needs
  • Monitor progress and celebrate all forms of achievement

About You

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Humanities subjects
  • Understanding of SEND and/or mental health needs
  • Calm, empathetic, and flexible approach
  • Committed to inclusive, student-centred practice

Why Join Us?

You’ll be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team where education is central to recovery. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact, helping young people re-engage with learning and successfully transition back into education and community life.
