Job description
The governors of this Ofsted rated 'Good' school in Leicestershire are looking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic teacher of humanities. They are ideally seeking to appoint a Geography specialist but would consider candidates with a specialism in any other humanities specialism depending on previous experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a lovely Leicestershire school where you have ample opportunity to develop both professionally and personally. The school caters to a wide catchment area and the current NOR is approximately 900. In a recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged to be 'Good' with some 'Outstanding' features. They received high praise for the quality of teaching and leadership at the school, and students and staff have a tremendous amount of pride in their school.

You will ideally hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of teaching Geography or another Humanities subject to key stages 3 and 4. This post would suit a proactive, knowledgeable and dynamic candidate who is able to work well alongside the existing team in order to raise standards during a period of positive change. The post will initially be for one full year, with the possibility of a permanent role being made available dependent on performance.

For more information, please contact Paaras on 0116 216 2122

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
