Job description
**Humanities Teacher** September 2016 start

I am working with a mainstream secondary school based in Newham that is recruiting for a Humanities Teacher for a September 2016 start.

You will be teaching key stage 3 and 4 Humanities, this may include Geography; History; Psychology; Sociology; Religious Studies; Citizenship Studies; Classical Civilisation; General Studies; Health and Social Care; Leisure and Tourism.

You will be a passionate teacher, dedicated to improving students knowledge of Humanities and raising attainment levels, utilising your teaching techniques. You will support the Humanities department, attending department meetings.

With an excellent knowledge of Humanities, You may be required to run intervention sessions for those students that need additional support with subjects, and may also attend school trips.

NQTs and experienced teachers are both welcome to apply. Only successful applicants will be contacted.

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools.
