Are you looking for a full time HR Manager Position at a primary school in Newham?

Details of the role:

To lead and manage by providing professional skills and technical capabilities, specialist subject knowledge (including employment legislation) integrity in decision making and operational activity that is required for the effective operations of Human Resource Management. To make a major contribution to the successful strategic management and administration and the schools day to day efficiency. To develop, maintain and operate administrative procedures for the school in order to ensure that all legal requirements are met. To be responsible for the provision of an effective human resources service to ensure the efficient functioning of the school and to provide personal administrative support to the Head Teacher. To actively promote the continuous professional development of all staff in the school.

Experience required for the role:

•Substantial experience of delivering an efficient and effective generalist HR service
•Experience of contributing to the development and implementation of HR Policies
•Experience of consultation and negotiation with a range of stakeholders
•Experience of HR software systems to support report and statistical information requirements
•Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice
•Solid experience of managing and maintaining the sickness and absence procedures in line with LA guidance
•Organised approach to work in relation to professional standards and competencies
•Flexible approach to changing work tasks and prioritising to specific needs
•Ability to demonstrate commitment to Equal Opportunities and customer service practices in the context of service delivery
•Advanced ICT skills, including good understanding of ICT Systems and the ability to develop them
