Job description
Protocol Education are recruiting for a HLTA to work in a special needs School in Bridgwater - The School caters for specific and individual needs of a child who may have a range of social and emotional difficulties, behaviour, trauma and attachment issues, learning difficulties and possibly other associated needs.

The Role:

As a HLTA, you will put the children and young people at the centre of everything you do. You will be providing emotional and social support in order for them to flourish and develop. This a very important and rewarding role with children and young people at the very centre of your approach. You will be supporting the class teacher on a day to day basis. Class sizes are small and an element of your role will be work 1:1 with students as well to make sure students are progressing to the best of their ability. The students will be aged between year 4 and year 6.

Skills and Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who have special needs
Would have worked in a School environment before and prefereably in a special needs environment
To be resilient and reliable
To remain calm in situations that may be difficult and challenging
Must be willing to undergo or have a DBS on the update service
Must be abe top provide a minimum of 2 references dating back a minimum of 2 years
