The best schools aren't just places to work, they're communities where staff and pupils thrive together.

We're working with a welcoming and highly supportive primary school in BS14 that is looking to appoint a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a permanent role starting in November.

You'll work closely with teachers, support learning across the primary age range, and help create a positive environment where every child feels valued and ready to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

As a HLTA, you'll be a key part of the school's teaching and support team, with responsibilities including:

  • Leading targeted interventions and small-group sessions
  • Delivering planned learning activities and supporting whole-class teaching
  • Working collaboratively with teachers to promote pupil progress
  • Encouraging confidence, engagement, and positive attitudes to learning
  • Providing flexible support wherever needed to ensure smooth day-to-day school life
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues

Why This School?

This is a school that genuinely values teamwork, wellbeing, and professional development. Staff are supported to grow, ideas are welcomed, and there's a shared commitment to providing the very best outcomes for children.

You'll be joining a friendly team where collaboration is encouraged, achievements are celebrated, and everyone plays an important role in creating a positive learning environment.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds HLTA status or has significant experience in a teaching support role
  • Is confident supporting learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Can lead interventions and support whole-class learning when required
  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Brings a calm, patient, and positive approach to working with children
  • Is flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to the needs of the school day
  • Is committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential
