Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Watford
Start Date: January 2026
Pay: £100–£120 per day (depending on experience)
A welcoming primary school in Watford is looking for a confident and experienced HLTA to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 in a vibrant and inclusive school environment.
As an HLTA, you will work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, lead small group interventions, and provide targeted support to help pupils achieve their potential. You may also cover whole-class lessons when teachers are absent, maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour.
HLTA Key Requirements:

HLTA qualification (essential)

Experience working in a UK primary school

Confident in delivering lessons and managing a class

Patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with pupils

Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
