HLTA – Alternative Provision | Gateshead | Immediate Start

Are you an experienced HLTA who enjoys making a real difference to the lives of young people?

We're recruiting for a supportive alternative provision in Gateshead, looking for a confident HLTA to work across a number of settings, supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, as you will be travelling between different provisions throughout Gateshead.

Your role

• Lead learning activities for primary-aged pupils.
• Support children with SEMH, SEND and behavioural needs.
• Deliver engaging interventions and small group sessions.
• Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff across different provisions.

We're looking for someone who

• Holds HLTA status or has significant classroom leadership experience.
• Has experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Is confident managing behaviour positively.
• Is flexible and adaptable.
• Can drive and has access to their own vehicle.
• Has some experience with BSL

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
