Looking for a rewarding role where every day matters?

We’re seeking a passionate HLTA to lead a primary classroom in a welcoming PRU in South Shields.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm.

You’ll play a key role in delivering learning, supporting emotional development, and helping pupils succeed both academically and personally.

What you’ll be doing
Leading whole-class teaching and intervention sessions
Supporting pupils with additional behavioural and emotional needs
Delivering differentiated learning activities
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and resilience
Building strong relationships with pupils and staff
Supporting progress tracking and classroom routines

We’re looking for someone who
Has experience leading groups or classes
Understands SEMH and trauma-informed practice
Has excellent communication skills
Can motivate and inspire reluctant learners
Is resilient and solution-focused
Works well as part of a wider team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
