Teacher of History

Are you a qualified Teacher of History looking for a new challenge in the LEA of Birmingham in the West Midlands?

This Secondary Academy located near to the border with Worcestershire are looking to appoint a History Teacher to a full time position for the new academic year starting in September 2017.

This Secondary Academy based in Birmingham LEA near to the border with Worcestershire are looking to appoint a Teacher of History to a full time post for the new academic year to start in September 2017 which could lead to a permanent post. The position will see the successful applicant teaching History to all Key Stages including GCSE and A-Level groups.

The school have established a strong local reputation and are part of an academy chains with a well accredited sponsor. They have an established leadership team who have led the school through some significant changes implemented over the last number of years and they are keen to continue the good work that has been done recently. The school are looking for committed and passionate teachers who are keen to play a significant role in the journey this school has embarked on in recent times.

Over recent years standards and expectations of pupils and all staff have risen and leadership and are keen to appoint a Teacher who will embrace this ethos and contribute to driving the school to its targets over the coming years. The school is slightly smaller than the average secondary school with almost all pupils coming from ethnic minority backgrounds and a significant proportion having English as an additional language. The number of pupils eligible for the pupils premium and those on school action, school action plus or with a statement of special needs is significantly above the national average.
