We’re working with secondary schools across Shropshire looking for passionate History Teachers to join their teams immediately and for long-term roles starting in September.

Whether you’re an experienced teacher looking for a fresh opportunity or an ECT ready to begin your teaching career, we’ve got flexible roles to suit you, with both part-time and full-time options available.

These schools are looking for teachers who can bring History to life, encouraging curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking in the classroom.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Teaching History across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and delivering engaging and accessible lessons
  • Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their potential
  • Bringing historical events, people, and debates to life in the classroom
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Marking, assessment, and contributing to departmental planning

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold UK QTS or are completing your teacher training
  • Are an experienced History Teacher or an ECT ready to get started
  • Can deliver engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and discussion
  • Bring strong classroom management and a positive attitude
  • Want to work in supportive schools where staff wellbeing matters
  • Are passionate about helping young people understand the world through history

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
