Salary: £140–£220 per day (depending on experience)

We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Harrogate looking for a passionate History Teacher to join their Humanities department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can inspire curiosity, encourage debate, and help students connect the dots between the past and the world around them today.

What the role includes:

• Teaching History across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
• Encouraging critical thinking and classroom discussion
• Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their potential
• Working collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds UK QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching History in UK secondary schools
• Can create positive classroom relationships quickly
• Brings enthusiasm, strong subject knowledge, and great classroom presence
• Wants to be part of a school community where staff feel supported

Extra points if you have:

• Experience teaching GCSE History
• Humanities teaching experience beyond History
• SEND or intervention experience
• Thrive training
